Site Improvements Completed at Framingham, Massachusetts Elementary School

October 4, 2016

The City of Framingham recently completed construction of site improvements at the Mary Stapleton Elementary School. BETA Group, Inc.  designed extensive improvements to the schoolyard and parking lot to revitalize the play area, improve circulation, and provide additional parking spaces.

The design includes new circulation patterns for buses, 55 new parking spaces, installation of a new sport turf field, new walking paths, basketball courts and play areas, and the redevelopment of a courtyard area.  The design involved significant re-grading of the site to comply with ADA requirements, including installation of several retaining walls. BETA provided full time construction oversight during the completion of this project.  The improvements, costing more than $1M, were completed in 10 weeks during summer vacation so as not to disrupt the staff or children during the school year.
