Founded in 1894, the Providence Engineering Society is the oldest professional engineering society in the United States. The Society offers engineers the opportunity to network, improve their technical competence, and socialize with fellow professionals. We are proud to announce that Christopher R. Cronin, a Senior Associate at BETA, was sworn in as President for the 2017-2018 term.
Chris is a graduate of Villanova University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and has worked in the consulting field for 26 years. He has spent most of that time in the environmental discipline, working at BETA since 2000. Committed to supporting the Society’s mission to promote the field of engineering, Chris is involved in a number of efforts, including volunteering his time to judge high school robotics competitions. Chris and his wife Sara have two children and reside in East Greenwich.
