BETA engineer receives Connecticut ITE President’s Award

The Connecticut Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), in conjunction with the New England Section of the ITE, hosted their Annual Joint Meeting at the UCONN Graduate Business Learning Center on Monday, March 26th 2018.

Joseph Rimiller, a Senior Traffic Engineer in BETA’s Hartford office, received the President’s Award at the meeting. This award is given in appreciation for outstanding service as President of the Connecticut Chapter of the ITE. Joe has over 15 years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning. He has a Master’s Degree in Transportation and Urban Planning from the University of Connecticut, is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut and also a registered Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. His experience includes a wide variety of projects such as traffic signal design, traffic operations analysis, planning studies, and traffic impact studies. Joe has been an active member of Connecticut ITE since 2002 and also belongs to the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Intelligent Transportation Society of Connecticut.
