Welcoming the New Year with a Letter from the President

January 17, 2020

Happy new year! As we kick off 2020, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past year before looking ahead at the exciting plans we have for the future.

In early 2019, we moved our corporate headquarters one mile up the street to 701 George Washington Highway in Lincoln, RI. This larger space accommodates BETA’s growing number of employees, while also incorporating contemporary workplace amenities that will improve communication, productivity, and overall collaboration.

Throughout the year, we were pleased to break ground on many projects and participate in various ribbon cutting ceremonies. Several of our projects received awards from regional and national industry associations where our talented staff was often recognized as a key contributor to the success of these projects.

We are proud of our team of 170 engineers, planners, landscape architects, and administrative staff who work together to make BETA so successful. Over the year, we celebrated their milestones including new PE’s and professional certifications, their leadership in various professional organizations, and involvement in their local communities. At the close of 2019, we also celebrated numerous staff promotions as we continue to provide advancement opportunities for our employees. It gives me great pleasure to acknowledge their hard work and commitment to the firm and the clients we serve. We are especially excited about our recent senior management promotions of Mark Gershman, Randy Collins, and Beth Scanlon. We know it’s our staff who make a difference in the quality of our work and I want to thank everyone at BETA for their dedication and commitment to continuing that legacy of excellence.

It is my honor to assume the role of President as BETA moves into the new decade. Along with the rest of BETA’s senior management team, I am committed to our mission of “improving communities together” and look forward to another year of successful partnerships with our clients and friends in the A/E/C industry. Best wishes for a very happy and prosperous new year!

Sincerely,
Joseph D’Alesio, PE
