Frank Romeo Honored by URI Transportation Forum

On October 29, 2021, Frank J. Romeo, PE was honored at the 34th Rhode Island Transportation Forum in recognition of his outstanding contribution and support.

The Forum, hosted by the Rhode Island Transportation Research Center and the Construction Industries of Rhode Island, is a collaborative effort to recognize the support of engineering industry leaders and also provide opportunity for presentations regarding recent infrastructure investments and innovations in the state. The theme of this year’s Forum was Revamping Transportation Infrastructure and System for Eternal Peace and Prosperity. A wide variety of participants from construction industries, consulting firms, federal, state, municipal agencies, and academia will all participate in this gathering, which is open to transportation professionals throughout New England.

Frank has been a long-time supporter of the annual event, as well as the organizations who coordinate it. In 2016, Frank received the Providence Engineering Society’s prestigious Freeman Award, presented to individuals that have demonstrated engineering excellence and advanced the engineering profession throughout their career. Frank’s tenure with BETA Group, Inc.  began in 1986 as Project Manager on a variety of highway, traffic and transportation planning projects throughout New England. Now the Chief Executive Officer at BETA, he provides strategic direction and management oversight in all facets of the firm’s operation.

Frank’s decades-long support of the engineering industry is noteworthy. Please join BETA as we congratulate him on this recognition and dedication to the transportation profession.
