February Newsletter – Reflecting on the Past and Looking Forward to the Future
February 19, 2022
Meet the founder: Mike Grilli
As we celebrate BETA’s 40th anniversary in 2022, we are looking ahead to the exciting future of the firm while also reflecting on four decades of history and growth. We recently spent some time with BETA’s Founder and Chairman Mike Grilli, PE to discuss the early days of BETA.
In 1982, Mike made the exciting decision to open his own consulting engineering firm. Now boasting over 160 employees in six offices throughout New England, it’s safe to say that the risk paid off.
Mike says he always had faith and never feared failure – while also admitting some of his growth strategies were a bit bold. Click here to read more about BETA’s inception and meet our Founder and Chairman, Mike Grilli!
Celebrating Engineers Week
Founded by the National Society of Engineers in 1951, Engineers Week (celebrated next week) is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. To kick things off, we’ve brought together four BETA engineers to discuss their background, current work, and advice for aspiring engineers. Click below to learn more about why a career in engineering – especially at BETA – has helped these engineers grow personally and professionally.
Attention Graduating Students and Job Seekers
We will be hosting a “Virtual Open House” College Recruiting Event on March 3rd from 3-5pm.
The goal of this event is to provide students with the opportunity to virtually meet and interact with some of BETA’s employee-owners as well as learn more about the various disciplines and opportunities that BETA has to offer. We strongly encourage students to attend this event as it is an excellent opportunity to gather information in their field, explore future possibilities, and ask pertinent questions regarding hiring processes, current needs, culture, benefits, employee ownership and more!
