GIS & Asset Management Specialist

As roadway infrastructure ages, the need for assessing, planning and prioritizing assets becomes increasingly necessary. This position will be based out of our Lincoln, RI, Norwood, MA, or Worcester, MA office, however there will be times that travel to the other locations is necessary.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination and advancement of multiple municipal and state related projects
  • Conduct geospatial analysis, asset planning, gap analyses and project prioritization
  • Perform complex GIS procedures and data analyses
  • Develop, support, and provide training with ESRI based web applications; WebApp Builder, WebApps, Dashboards, Experience Builder, Field Maps, Survey123, and Work Force
  • Working within a team environment to develop geographic database structures, tables, forms, and reports
  • Provide GIS related technical support both internally and to external clients
  • Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in the GIS field
  • Work cooperatively with other office staff and/or project managers to complete assigned work
  • Develop and retain client relationships
  • Anticipate client needs and articulate client expectations
  • Properly scope, schedule, and budget for assignments and demonstrate a working understanding of project financials

Skills Required:

  • Ability to provide the utmost professionalism when dealing with clients, vendors, and sub-contractors, as well as colleagues and peers
  • Extensive experience in map generation and visualization
  • Experience with ESRI suite of tools (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online)
  • An understanding of geospatial data such as modeling, scrubbing, manipulation, hierarchies, maintenance, and relationships with specific experience focused on asset management
  • A solid understanding of technical application, concepts, principals, and theories in GIS
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and efficiently
  • Prior experience with municipal and/or state asset management projects
  • Knowledge of pavement management and ADA/MUTCD compliance principals is a plus

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Engineering, Environmental Resources, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license is a must
