Job Summary:
The Inspector will play a large part in strengthening our service to an expanding New England client base by providing a key role in the development of projects, while overseeing and mentoring less experienced staff. Collaboration within and between multiple disciplines in the company is a requisite key to our collective success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Report to, accept and fulfill all orders, directives, and interpretations of the plans, specifications and special provisions as given directly or indirectly by the Project Engineer
  • Perform field inspection, including confirming the work is performed in accordance with the contract documents
  • Measure quantities for payment
  • Prepare required project documentation, including daily reports, and entering data into project records
  • Mark up record set of drawings of any changes to the plan made it the field
  • Keep track of time (labor and equipment) and materials for potential change orders
  • Perform all administrative tasks associated with the construction project, including but not limited to the preparation of all correspondence, construction orders, payment estimates, reports and project-related local, State and Federal forms

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Considerable knowledge of construction materials, methods
  • Ability to maintain field and office records
  • Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

 Education and Experience:

  • BS or NICET HCI Level II
  • Minimum experience: 1 year
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician certification preferred
  • NETTCP HMA Paving Inspector certification preferred
  • NETTCP Concrete Inspector certification preferred
