Staff Engineer – Transportation/Traffic

Main Responsibilities
At BETA, the wide range of services that we provide to our clients results in considerable interaction and teamwork within the company and as a result, BETA’s Transportation Staff Engineers gain a wide variety of experience in their day-to-day activities. You may be conducting field investigations including roadway inventories/assessments one day, then developing design concepts in the office the next. Our Staff Engineers conduct planning and technical design tasks for our public and private sector clients, perform highway planning analysis and design, urban planning, asset management and streetscape design. Working with state-of-the-art design and analysis software, preparation of engineering plans and other technical support documents is a key activity.

Skills Required:

• AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong technical aptitude and an eagerness to learn
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently as well as on a team

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• 0 to 5 years of experience preferred
• EIT (Fundamentals of Engineering) preferred
• Valid driver’s license
