Structural Engineer

Our Norwood office has an immediate opening for an entry level Structural Engineer to join our growing team of industry-leading professionals with a variety of exciting projects in progress.  Main Responsibilities:

  • AutoCAD drafting of bridge and other structure plans.
  • Perform and check design calculations for bridges and other structures
  • Quantity calculations and cost estimating
  • Assist in the preparation of contract documents and technical reports
  • Take part as a member of a field crew on structural inspections
  • Perform various structural engineering assignments under supervision of a senior engineer

Skills Required:

  • Strong background in structural analysis and theory
  • Strong technical and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn and willingness to take on responsibility
  • Willing to work in a collaborative team environment

Education and Experience:

  • This is an entry level position and requires applicants with 0 to 3 years of experience
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) is required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Registration preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a strong plus
