Richard A. Bernardo, PE has over 40 years of experience in civil engineering, specializing in civil design and construction projects, roadway reconstruction design, highway relocation design, traffic impact studies, and construction inspection. His work history encompasses numerous civil design and construction projects, roadway construction design, highway relocation design, traffic impact studies, and construction inspection oversight. His management and executive background spans both the private and public sectors, having previously served as the Director of Public Works in the City of Cranston and Town of Burrillville, Rhode Island.
As a Vice President at BETA, Rich serves as a Senior Manager in our Rhode Island office. Rich is a graduate of Roger Williams University, where he serves on the Professional Advisory Board and is active in the Alumni Association. Rich is a Past President of the Providence Engineering Society and the Rhode Island Society for Professional Engineers, and is a Life Member of the Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers. He is a member of the City of Warwick Growth Management Council and was the governor-appointed Vice Chairman of the Rhode Island Board of Registration for 10 years.
