BETA Moves Corporate Headquarters to Accommodate Growth

February 26, 2019

LINCOLN, RI – BETA Group, Inc., a leading New England engineering, planning, and landscape architecture firm, is excited to announce the relocation of its corporate headquarters to 701 George Washington Highway in Lincoln, Rhode Island. While BETA’s new office is only a mile from its previous Lincoln location, its larger size allows space to accommodate the firm’s growing number of employees.

Founded by Michael E. Grilli in 1982, BETA started with three employees working from a small office in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. By 1986, after only four years and steadily increasing growth, BETA moved its corporate headquarters from the small office in Pawtucket to the suburb of Lincoln, Rhode Island. Today BETA has over 170 employees, 90 of which will work from the Lincoln office.

“This is a very exciting time for BETA and all of our employee owners. After steady growth over recent years, it was time to find a larger, more functional work space for our corporate headquarters” said President and CEO Frank Romeo. “We were very fortunate to find exactly what we needed right here in Lincoln. With nearly 30,000 square feet of renovated space, we have provided our employees with a magnificent work environment with room for continued growth.”

The new headquarters boasts two stories and oversized windows that offer sweeping views of the Blackstone Valley. A carefully thought out floorplan will enable better communication while increasing efficiency and productivity. The large, open café area and variety of conference and meeting spaces provide areas for collaboration throughout the office. The team providing architectural guidance suggested a variety of contemporary workplace amenities, resulting in a first class workplace environment for BETA staff.

As an added benefit, the new location allows the firm to make a much needed change without moving very far. BETA’s presence in Lincoln has provided close proximity to clients throughout the state and greater region, as well as being a central hub of corporate activity for BETA’s five other New England-based offices.

BETA’s staff settled into the new building in late February, and plans to hold an open house for clients, friends and family in spring 2019. The architect of record is O’Hearne Associates Architects, and general contractor is Deslandes Construction, Inc.
