Founded by Michael E. Grilli, PE, BETA Group, Inc. started in 1982 with three employees working from a small office in Rhode Island. From the start, BETA’s mission has been to improve the communities we live and work in with integrated solutions.
Staying true to that mission and our commitment to our clients has helped us grow to be the regional leader we are today. Over 40 years later, BETA has expanded to seven offices throughout New England and proudly offers a broad range of planning, engineering, environmental, asset management, and landscape architectural services.
A distinguishing difference at BETA is our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This benefit plan allows all employees to earn company stock, making each employee a part-owner. Our philosophy is that when you own a part of the company, you have a vested interest in its success.
