BETA Group, Inc. Congratulates Chris Brainard, PE, on ACEC/MA Young Professional Award

BETA Group, Inc. is proud to announce that Chris Brainard, PE, has been recognized with the 2026 ACEC/MA Young Professional Award. This honor highlights emerging leaders in the engineering profession who demonstrate technical excellence, leadership, and commitment to their communities.

Chris joined BETA early in his career and has grown into a Project Engineer in the firm’s water/wastewater group. Over that time, he has strengthened his technical expertise, taken on increasing project responsibilities, and earned his professional engineering license. He is known for his professionalism, integrity, and dedication to delivering high-quality work.

In addition to his project contributions, Chris also plays an active role in fostering engagement across the firm. As Chair of BETA’s Young Professionals subcommittee within the Employee Engagement Committee, he has led initiatives that strengthen mentorship, expand volunteer involvement, and create opportunities for early-career staff to connect and grow. His leadership has contributed to increased engagement, retention, and leadership development across the organization.

Chris has also supported recruiting efforts at his alma mater, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), by engaging with students and sharing insights into engineering careers.
