World Landscape Architecture Month: The BETA Team in Action

April 17, 2026

Each April, World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM) brings attention to the role landscape architects play in shaping the places where we live, work, and gather. The 2026 theme, “Landscape Architecture in Action,” highlights something we see every day at BETA: ideas becoming real, lived places. From parks and schoolyards to waterfronts and streetscapes, landscape architecture shapes how people connect with their surroundings, supporting health, resilience, and everyday life.

For more than four decades, BETA has partnered with communities across New England to plan, design, and improve the spaces people rely on. Our landscape architects work collaboratively with our engineers and scientists, blending creativity with technical expertise to bring projects to life. Whether it’s master planning, streetscape design, park improvements, or wayfinding systems, our team approaches every project with a focus on collaboration, sustainability, and community impact.

To celebrate WLAM this year, we asked members of our landscape architecture team a simple question: “What have you been working on lately?” In the video below, you’ll hear directly from some of our landscape architects as they share what’s been on their desks, in the field, and currently taking shape.
