Benjamin Boynton, PE
Associate
Ben brings a hands-on, design-driven perspective to his role as an Associate, working across transportation, traffic, and civil/site projects for municipal and state clients. His work spans roadway reconstruction, streetscape improvements, drainage and utility design, and shared-use path projects, with a strong focus on constructability, coordination, and long-term performance.
Ben has extensive experience preparing plan sets and design documents for state transportation agencies and municipalities, supporting projects from early concepts through final design. He regularly leads roadway and stormwater design efforts, including river, sewer, and stormwater modeling to evaluate system capacity, flood impacts, and infrastructure improvements. His technical background includes hydraulic and hydrologic analysis for bridges, culverts, and drainage networks, often on projects with complex site constraints.
In addition to roadway and drainage design, Ben has played a key role in the planning and design of shared-use paths, bicycle facilities, and sidewalks that meet accessibility standards while balancing safety, context, and user experience. He frequently integrates civil design with mapping and data analysis, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and ESRI ArcGIS to support engineering decisions and clear communication with project teams and stakeholders.
