Isaac Almy, PE

Senior Traffic Engineer

Isaac is a Senior Traffic Engineer at BETA with more than a decade of experience delivering data-driven traffic analysis and simulation to support complex transportation projects. A Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, he specializes in traffic modeling, highway interchange redesign, traffic impact analysis, and corridor-level evaluation for municipal, regional, and state clients.

Isaac’s work focuses on using advanced analytical tools to evaluate operational performance and test design alternatives for signalized intersections, interchanges, and multimodal corridors. He regularly develops and calibrates microsimulation models to assess existing and future conditions, helping project teams and stakeholders understand tradeoffs related to safety, capacity, and mobility. His technical experience includes Vissim, Synchro, and SimTraffic, along with the preparation of clear, detailed technical reports to support planning, environmental review, and design decisions. In addition, Isaac brings a strong background in data processing and automation. He applies Python scripting to streamline workflows, improve model calibration, and efficiently manage large datasets, allowing project teams to focus on analysis and decision-making.
