Kwesi Brown, PE, PTOE

Kwesi is a Vice President at BETA with more than 25 years of experience in traffic and transportation engineering. He brings a strong record of technical leadership, team development, and business growth, having successfully managed complex infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary teams across the public and private sectors.

Kwesi specializes in traffic engineering, multimodal transportation planning, and safety-focused design. His experience includes corridor and intersection improvements, traffic signal design, traffic impact and safety studies, ADA accessibility improvements, and transit and multimodal infrastructure planning. He has worked extensively with state departments of transportation, municipalities, regional agencies, and private sector clients throughout the Northeast.

Kwesi holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology in Ghana. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut and a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE). He is also a Past President of the Connecticut Institute of Transportation Engineers and an active member of several professional organizations.
