Senior Transportation Planner
Ryan is an accomplished urban planner with 24 years of experience focusing on public realm enhancements, capital project management, and community engagement. His work emphasizes improving access, connectivity, and the quality of shared spaces in urban environments with a consistent focus on sustainability, equity, and accessibility.
At BETA, Ryan is supporting planning and implementation efforts for park, trail, and connectivity projects. His current work includes leading public engagement and coordination for the Keney Park Connectivity Trails Project in Hartford, contributing to the Keney Park Master Plan, and supporting the development of a new Nature Center within the park. Across these efforts, Ryan works closely with municipalities, community stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to help advance projects from concept through implementation.
Ryan’s background includes leading capital projects and public initiatives in both nonprofit and municipal settings, where he secured and managed multi-million-dollar funding, guided cross-disciplinary teams, and built strong public-private partnerships. This experience informs his approach at BETA, where he helps align planning goals, funding requirements, and community priorities to deliver projects with lasting public value.
