Peter brings over 30 years of experience delivering innovative, client-focused solutions in the water and wastewater sector. As a Vice President in BETA’s Norwood, Massachusetts office, he plays a strategic role in advancing the firm’s growth and strengthening its ability to deliver innovative, client-focused water and wastewater solutions.
Throughout his career, Peter has led multidisciplinary teams, directed large-scale planning and design initiatives, and advanced sustainability and resiliency practices. He is widely recognized for his thought leadership and advocacy in the water and environmental sectors, where he has held influential roles in professional organizations. Peter brings a proven track record of guiding teams, shaping business strategies, and delivering complex projects for municipalities, agencies, and private sector partners. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and long-term relationship building – qualities that align directly with BETA’s core value of providing exceptional service to our clients and communities.
Peter was recently selected by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) as Speaker of its House of Delegates (HOD) for the 2026–2027 term. In this role, he will oversee the affairs of the HOD and work closely with WEF’s Community Leadership Council (CLC) to strengthen connections with the 75 Member Associations that represent more than 30,000 water professionals. Until WEFTEC 2026, Peter will serve as Speaker-Elect, preparing to assume leadership of the HOD. He will also remain Delegate-at-Large through the remainder of 2025, representing WEF’s Water Advocacy Program and continuing to shape policy and best practices that advance the water profession. Peter previously served as New England Water Environment Association Delegate to WEF (2020-2023) and Chair of Collection Systems Committee (2017-2020).
Peter has a bachelor of science in environmental engineering from Trinity College Dublin, and a master’s in business administration from the University of Virginia. At BETA, Peter focuses on building client partnerships, mentoring staff, and driving the growth of our water/wastewater services, while ensuring that projects consistently meet BETA’s standards of quality and innovation.
