Derry Fire Station

Derry. New Hampshire

As a subconsultant to Mitchell Associates Architects, BETA provided landscape architecture, civil engineering, and traffic signal services for the design and construction of a new state-of-the-art, 20,500-square-foot fire station for the Town of Derry. BETA worked with the architect to develop grading solutions for the steeply sloped site that balanced earthwork costs with the significant quantity of rock encountered on site. BETA developed several options for grading and drainage and was responsible for site permitting through the Alteration of Terrain Permit and Site Plan Review processes. Site improvements included parking, access drives, retaining walls, an entrance plaza, underground and aboveground stormwater retention, and a new traffic signal serving the station.
