Wayfinding Signage Master Plan
Framingham, Massachusetts
The City of Framingham hired BETA to prepare a public signage program that establishes a consistent design language for the community’s informational and directional signs. The Wayfinding Master Plan provides the roadmap for an easily recognizable signage system that directs both visitors and residents to key destinations and features in the City. It will also be used as a branding tool for the community and its numerous villages.
This detailed plan provides a hierarchy of signage types. They include community and village gateway signs, vehicular directional signs, pedestrian directional signs and informational kiosks, destination identification signs, trails signs, and parking signs. The plan also included detailed information of the locations for all of the signage system elements.
