As we begin the new year, BETA is looking forward to the firm’s future with some exciting changes and additions to our leadership team.

We are pleased to announce the following promotions of several employee-owners. Each of these individuals has demonstrated a commitment to our continued growth and the success of our clients. Please join us in congratulating the team members listed below!

Robert Mackie, PE, BCEE, Promoted to Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

With nearly 40 years of expertise in water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, Bob has led the design and construction of over 200 projects across New England. In his new role, Bob will focus on contract and risk management, project efficiency, and financial performance, ensuring BETA’s continued growth and success.

Jeff Maxtutis, AICP, Promoted to Vice President

With nearly 40 years of planning experience, Jeff specializes in pedestrian, bicycle, and traffic safety, leading transformative projects across New England. A key advocate for Complete Streets and Vision Zero, he has conducted over 50 safety audits and played a pivotal role in expanding BETA’s transportation services. His expertise has been recognized nationally, and he continues to mentor staff while driving innovation in multimodal transportation solutions.
