January Newsletter – BETA Announces Leadership Promotions

Happy New Year! As we welcome in 2026, BETA is proud to celebrate the momentum we’ve built and our exciting path ahead. A key part of that journey is recognizing the talented people who help move our firm forward.

We are delighted to announce the following promotions of several employee-owners. Each of these individuals has shown outstanding dedication to our clients, our team, and the continued success of BETA. Please join us in congratulating the individuals below as they step into these well-deserved roles!

Aimee Couture, Promoted to Senior Associate
As BETA’s Director of Marketing, Aimee leads the firm’s marketing efforts and provides strategic direction for company-wide initiatives. Aimee works closely with the business development team to identify opportunities, support client pursuits, and track funding programs. She is a founding member of BETA’s employee engagement committee and an active member of the New England Chapter of the American Public Works Association, where she serves on the Communications and Membership Committees.

Alan Gunnison, PE, Promoted to Senior Associate
An engineer in BETA’s water and wastewater division, Alan supports a wide range of environmental engineering and environmental science projects. Alan is known for his hands-on approach, and he plays a key role in delivering successful project outcomes. He has been closely involved in the design and construction of multiple water and wastewater pump station replacement projects. Most recently, he served as project manager for a $20 million, multi-phase 25-MGD wastewater pump station replacement project in Taunton, Massachusetts.

Todd Warzecki, PE, Promoted to Senior Associate
Todd has managed and executed the inspection, design, and construction of bridges, parking garages, wastewater treatment facilities, buildings, and retaining walls. Trained in National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS), he is certified to manage and perform structural inspections of in-service bridges and supports projects ranging from new structures to major and minor rehabilitations. Todd supervises our growing structural group in Rhode Island, overseeing bridge and structural engineering projects for state agencies and municipal clients.

Benjamin Boynton, PE, Promoted to Associate
Ben supports municipal and state clients on transportation, traffic, and civil/site projects, with experience in roadway reconstruction, streetscape improvements, and drainage and utility design. He develops plan sets from early concepts through final design and regularly leads roadway and stormwater modeling to evaluate system capacity, flood impacts, and infrastructure upgrades. Ben also contributes to shared-use path, bicycle, and sidewalk design that meets accessibility standards while balancing safety and context, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and ESRI ArcGIS to support clear coordination and decision-making.

Jaklyn Centracchio, PE, PTOE, Promoted to Associate
Jaklyn has delivered traffic and transportation improvements for municipalities, regional agencies, and state DOTs throughout New England. Her work includes leading traffic signal design and reconstruction projects, coordinating complex intersection and corridor upgrades, and supporting the implementation of adaptive signal technologies. Jaklyn is known for translating technical analyses into clear, actionable recommendations that balance safety, operations, and community context.

Laura Krause, Promoted to Associate
Laura performs ecological studies, as well as leads and contributes to environmental planning and permitting projects throughout New England. With training in physical sciences (soil science, wetlands science, field botany), GIS mapping, and environmental regulations, she brings valuable insight across diverse project types, including peer review and construction compliance oversight. Throughout her career, Laura has played a key role in wetland delineation, design feasibility analysis, and permitting for hundreds of public and private projects, including infrastructure improvements such as parks, roadways, bridges, and rail trails.

Jason Ouimet, PE, LEED AP, Promoted to Associate
Jason leads and supports a wide range of transportation and land development projects for public and private clients throughout New England. His experience includes roadway and highway design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage and stormwater management, utility planning, water resources engineering, and site development. Jason is well-versed in LOTCIP-funded projects, having managed municipal reconstruction efforts and supported peer reviews of projects administered through regional councils of governments.
